Hey everyone Im having a bit of trouble using Nero for burning CD's. Everytime I start the burning process, it will get say about 45% done and then it will stop dead. Usually you can hear the actual drive itself whilst the CD is burning, then it will just stop and go quiet. Its really annoying because I am wasting countless CD's on it. Help, My Laptop Charger Is Not Working Properly
I have a HP Pavilion laptop. I bought it about 2-3 years ago. I try to plug in the charger end to my laptop and it does not start charging. I can take the back off of it, plug the charger in, and it works fine. I think that something is pushing back (in the laptop) and causing the connections not to touch. i have a total of eight hard drives in my computer i am very happy to say that. i have a server case, duh. three of the hard drives are scsi each drive is 9 gigs...yeah i know...so thats 18 gigs total. then i have four ide hard drives which is 2 20 gigs and 2 6 gigs for a total of 52 gigs...so 18 + 52 is 70 gigs yeah ....then i have a mac hard drive in there that is only 1 gig...i use that for my paging file...so 8 hard drives for a total of around 70 gigs. then i have an ide controller with

What's Happening To Floppy Discs?
The use of floppy discs seems to be declining every day. Macintosh computers are no longer even made with floffy drives and windows computers will most likely follow suit sooner or later. Files are much bigger these days than they were back when floppy discs were first invented and so nothing but very basic things (text, spreadsheets, etc.) can even fit onto a floppy. Also, the fact that it is amazingly simple to burn files to a disc (most computers these days come with CD burning capabilities)

Is anyone here into overclocking their computers? It's pretty cool stuff. I have a p2.4c that I overclocked to 3.1ghz and it runs great. There's a noticible difference in speed. I get about 25idle/40load temps on stock intel cooling, which isn't bad at all. I'm gonna get one of those Zalman heatsinks one of these days and try to push my P4 a little more. I'd also like to overclock my 9800pro and see what it can do. Has anyone else tried overclocking?

My cousin's computer seems to have a bad VGA monitor cable. The problem is that when I turn it on, it seems to be ok, it says auto-configure....then it goes blank (orange light on monitor power button). How To Erase Dell Inspiron Hard-drive Password
I have a Dell Inspiron 600m and whenever I boot it up, I get the white error screen telling me I have a locked hard-drive password. I never set up a password though, does anybody know what password I could use to unlock the hard-drive? The error message says "hard-disk #***********-595B is protected by a password authentication system." I saw on here that someone else had the same problem and someone was able to give him the password he needed. My service tag isFPL8N61 if that helps
I just got a seagate 1 TB Hard Disk Drive to give the old 360 GB some company. It is causing my CPU to overheat or so the BIOS is reporting. The system abruptly shuts down and the next time I turn it on, I hear the overheat beeps. Its only when I remove the HDD that the system is able to boot. When I check the temperature through the Hardware Monitoring feature in the BIOS, it reports 80 degrees Celsius with the old disk and 104 when I re-connect the new HDD.Can the HDD cause the CPU to overheat

Is A Sound Card Absolutely Needed ?
Hi,I've been without a sound card for quiet awhile (I think forever ) but just curious if they're really needed for gaming, I only use a headset. Though sometimes my Counter-Strike Source game will freeze up would a game freeze up due to 'too much sound' and because I have no sound card it can't render all the noise at once.
